I would like to speak about my teachers at Saipanyarangsit (SPR) School, who helped change my thoughts about school and inspired me to strive for excellence. Before studying here, I had a very simple idea of what school was supposed to be: study hard and get good grades. But over time, I realized that school can be enjoyable, interesting, and full of many different ways to learn.

My educators helped me not only improve my grades but also become more confident, curious, and brave enough to try something new. They made learning feel meaningful, and they never expected less than our best. Because of them, I now enjoy learning and discovering something new every day.

Learning Science Through Challenge and Curiosity

Teacher Anthony Ferrer, our SPR BFITS Program Science teacher, is very well-known. Everyone who has studied under him says that his tests are extremely difficult. At first, I didn’t believe it was true. But after experiencing it myself, I realized that his tests are designed to make us learn more deeply.

I once asked him why his exams were so hard, and he replied, “If it’s easy, how could you do better?” I think he was right. Difficult tests push us to work harder and study more seriously. The experiments we do are always enjoyable, and we learn a lot by actually performing them. He explains lessons clearly and even goes the extra mile by bringing snacks to class, making lessons more enjoyable and less stressful.

Understanding Math Through Real Life

Teacher Afton Murillo, our Math teacher, is also very inspirational. He simplifies complex concepts and explains them in easy-to-understand terms. He often uses real-life examples so we can see how math works in our everyday lives.

He always makes funny faces and jokes that make everyone laugh, which helps reduce tension in class. At the same time, he cares about every student and never leaves anyone behind. I remember a project we did about inequalities where we had to create a budget, dividing money into rent, food, and other expenses. We then presented it to the class.

That activity made Math feel realistic and practical, not just about numbers and formulas. Because of him, I’ve started to enjoy math much more.

Finding Confidence Through English

My English teachers are also excellent. Before, I was afraid of grammar and literature. I found them boring and difficult to memorize. However, my English teachers made these subjects easier and more enjoyable.

The classroom environment is always friendly and welcoming. We feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and making mistakes. They helped me understand that English is more than memorizing rules.

Through group assignments, discussions, and video journals, I improved my creative thinking, speaking, and writing skills. I am no longer shy about using English, and I now enjoy learning the language.

Teachers Who Care Beyond the Classroom

All my teachers are special, not only because of their knowledge, but because they truly care about us. They can notice when a student is going through a difficult time and know how to encourage and support them.

Homework and assignments are never boring because teachers make learning fun and valuable. They trust us and believe in our potential. Because of them, I’ve learned more than just academic lessons. I’ve learned patience, hard work, curiosity, kindness, and perseverance.

They teach us that learning is not about competing with others, but about improving ourselves and exploring new ideas.

Learning to See Life Differently

My teachers also taught me how to look at challenges in a positive way. They are not only teachers, but also mentors and role models. They encourage us to question, explore, and never give up.

They showed me that it’s okay to make mistakes and that curiosity and bravery are important in learning. Because of them, I have grown not only as a student, but also as a person.

A Place That Shaped Who I Am

I am extremely lucky to have such teachers at SPR. This school is not just a place for learning subjects, but a place where students can grow, stay curious, and enjoy learning. My teachers showed me that education does not have to be boring.

I will never forget their lessons, guidance, and constant support.

A Heartfelt Thank You to My Teachers

Lastly, I would like to extend my deepest thanks to all my teachers. They have helped me in many ways, especially academically, but also personally. Learning with them has been a journey full of exploration, opportunities, and growth.

They proved that school can be a happy place—full of laughter, learning, and development. I feel truly lucky to have such wonderful teachers, and I will always be grateful for everything they have given me.
