During my three years at this school, everyone told me that high school would go by quickly, but I never really believed them. Back then, a year felt so long, a semester felt endless, and even a single week of classes could feel heavy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But now, as graduation approaches, I finally understand what people meant. Three years can feel incredibly short\u2014so short that the moments you once thought were small suddenly become memories you treasure. For me, many of the memories I cherish most came from my experience studying science at SPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Seeing Science Differently Through Inspiring Teachers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Science can be confusing, intimidating, and frustrating, but a good teacher can turn it into something exciting. I truly believe that teachers are the key to helping students succeed. Luckily, in my three years of studying at SPR, we were surrounded by many great and talented teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A teacher can change the entire atmosphere of a classroom, and mine did precisely that. They made science feel alive. They connected lessons to real-life meanings\u2014not just how reactions worked, but why they mattered. Even the simplest things I had never wondered about before were brought up by my Physics teacher, who always asked questions that made us think.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, why does the air conditioner always stay high in the room? It\u2019s because hot air rises and cool air sinks. Just small things like that\u2014things that surround us every day but that we never really notice. It wasn\u2019t just about learning formulas, but about understanding how science shapes the world around us, which completely changed how I see things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Learning Science Beyond Textbooks and Worksheets<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bfitsprogram.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/SPR-BFITS-Program-students-in-aprons-and-masks-preparing-a-tray-of-ingredients-in-a-school-kitchen-lab-1024x734.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1148\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Before I came to SPR, most teachers didn\u2019t really make us do projects or let us experiment with real things. We usually did boring activities, simple worksheets, basic experiments that didn\u2019t mean much, and tasks that didn\u2019t make us think deeply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At SPR, however, teachers and the BFITS team encourage students to learn through experiments and projects. They worked hard to make learning less boring by enabling us to attend exhibitions and expos. They pushed us to explore, touch real materials, test fundamental ideas, and learn science through doing\u2014not memorising. This made a massive difference in how I understood science and how much I enjoyed learning it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Struggling Through Projects and Learning from Failure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bfitsprogram.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/SPR-BFITS-Program-Mathayom-4-5-and-6-students-during-the-School-Expo-1024x734.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1147\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand, teachers didn\u2019t just make us question things; they also taught us how to cope with challenges by making students complete projects every semester, every year. One of the most unforgettable parts of studying science at SPR was the struggle of completing these projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>People often think science projects are simple\u2014follow the instructions, and you\u2019ll get a perfect result. But in reality, they were full of obstacles, mistakes, and moments where many factors were involved, and everything seemed to fall apart. It was exactly through these struggles that we learned the most, because not everything turns out the way you want. Through this, we learned how to teach ourselves and how to keep going.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Scoby Leather Project: Patience in Practice<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bfitsprogram.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Finished-version-of-scoby-leather-vest-made-from-fermented-material-photographed-flat-as-a-student-science-project-outcome-1024x705.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1146\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>One of my most memorable projects was the Scoby leather project for the SPR exhibition. This project required a lot of patience and effort, especially during the fermentation process, which already took a long time. Everything needed to be sterile and neat, but even that didn\u2019t guarantee success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, with eagerness to complete the project, we were able to overcome those obstacles and eventually achieve our goal. Even when things didn\u2019t go our way, this project taught me to overcome challenges rather than give up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Projects as Life Lessons, Not Just Assignments<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bfitsprogram.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/SPR-BFITS-Program-science-lab-experiment-with-Supata-Pongthongleart-Pata-and-her-classmates-in-lab-coats-and-hairnets-guided-by-Teacher-Anthony-Ferrer-beside-glassware-setup-1024x734.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1149\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking back now, I realise that these projects were never just assignments\u2014they were lessons about life disguised as schoolwork. They taught us that success requires patience, effort, and the courage to keep trying even when things go wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the challenges shaped us, it was truly our teachers who guided us through every step. They pushed us, encouraged us, and believed in what we could create, even when we doubted ourselves. They taught me how to think, how to question, how to solve problems, and most importantly, how to trust myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What once felt like a long journey now feels unbelievably short, but the lessons I gained will stay with me far beyond high school. As graduation comes closer, I carry with me not just memories of projects, classrooms, and late nights, but also the confidence that I can face life&#8217;s challenges the same way I faced challenges in science\u2014patiently, bravely, and with the belief that every obstacle is an opportunity to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Grateful for the Science Fun Journey That Shaped Me<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Saipanyarangsit (SPR) School BFITS Program has given me so much more than knowledge. It has given me perspective and taught me to look at the world with curiosity, to question things I once ignored, and to appreciate the science behind everyday life. It gave me the strength to face challenges, keep going when projects fell apart, and believe in myself even when the process felt impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most importantly, the experience taught me that with the right guidance, support, and attitude, I can turn anything\u2014a small idea, a failed attempt\u2014into something meaningful. Through every project, every mistake, and every moment of learning, I discovered the kind of person I am capable of becoming.
