Most people say their high school years were the best time of their lives, and I agree, but everyone has their own reason. Some remember the excitement of sports, the attention from friends, or their popularity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For me, high school would have been dull without the cool and friendly BFITS teachers who always knew how to cheer me up, especially Mr. Anthony, who had a special way of turning even the dullest lessons into moments filled with laughter and energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Mr. Anthony wasn\u2019t the only one who could brighten the classroom\u2014every BFITS teacher had their own way of making learning enjoyable because they took the time to truly understand each of their students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Anthony: The Chill Role Model Who Turned Lessons Into Laughter<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To start off, the first teacher who truly made a big difference in my high school life was Mr. Anthony Ferrer. He did an amazing job coaching me in every aspect\u2014whether it was about lessons or life outside the textbook. And it wasn\u2019t just with my class; he made every class he taught feel seen and supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His personality played a huge role in why his lessons worked so well. He was the perfect combination of a role model teacher and a chill guy who knew exactly how to help his students relax with his humor while still absorbing stressful lessons. No matter how difficult the topic was, he always managed to lead his students in the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even his outfits added to his charm. Usually formal like most BFITS teachers, but somehow he always stood out\u2014sometimes with tiny gadgets, sometimes with a casual outfit paired with sneakers and a big smile. You could tell students loved him just by looking at his Instagram stories<\/a><\/strong>. Studying with him was always a wholesome experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Charles: The #1 Dad-Joke Teacher Who Made Learning Warm and Fun<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aside from Mr. Anthony, Mr. Charles Williams also made a significant impact on my high school life. He had the most unique teaching style and was the definition of cool, calm, funny, and chill. He always wore long-sleeved shirts and pants\u2014a standard teacher outfit, but on him, it was something different. You could identify him from a mile away simply by his walk or his energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His wide smile and little giggles changed the whole mood of the classroom. Even when lessons got boring, he knew how to pause, drop a dad joke, and bring the entire class back to life. His personality really felt like a caring father, the kind who deserved a \u201c#1 Dad\u201d mug, teaching his kids about the complex parts of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One moment I\u2019ll never forget was when the whole class looked sleepy. He suddenly stopped writing, turned around, and said, \u201cYou know what, this is boring\u2014let\u2019s try something else.\u201d<\/em> Then he walked around the room, asking each student questions that instantly woke everyone up. He made learning warm, fun, and meaningful\u2014the type of teacher who made you want Monday mornings to come faster.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Dermot: The Canadian Dad-Joke Legend Who Taught With Heart<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When it came to dad jokes, Mr. Charles had competition\u2014because Mr. Dermot English was the real deal. His jokes were so real that he\u2019d tell one, stare at us with a serious expression, then burst out laughing all by himself while the class sat there in silence\u2026 not because we were trying not to laugh, but because nobody understood the strange Canadian punchline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But he was unforgettable. Mr. Dermot put in all his effort to ensure every student understood the lesson. He loved his dad jokes too much, the kind of teacher who laughed at his own jokes until we ended up laughing with him because his laughter was just that contagious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He had a special way of teaching grammar, especially with his famous \u201csong,\u201d \u201cVerb to be and I N G,\u201d<\/em> which we still joke about today. His humor wasn\u2019t the only thing that made him stand out\u2014he cared deeply about his students, even if he didn\u2019t say it directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of my favorite memories was when a student fell asleep during his class. Instead of getting angry, Mr. Dermot quietly walked over, pulled out a chair, sat down right in front of him, and started rereading the story with a big smile. The whole class tried to wake him, but he said, \u201cNo, let him,\u201d <\/em>and we all tried not to laugh. That moment showed everything about him\u2014funny, caring, and unforgettable in a truly dad-like way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More Than Teachers: They Were the Reason Mornings Felt Worth It<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Looking back, without these wonderful BFITS teachers, my three years in high school would have been boring. My experience wouldn\u2019t have been the same without their guidance, humor, and care\u2014especially their jokes\u2014that made me look forward to the next morning\u2019s class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I feel incredibly lucky and happy to have had them teach me. Sometimes I wish I could rewind time to sit in their classes again and enjoy every small moment. They didn\u2019t just teach from the book; they taught about life, kindness, and fun. Those moments will always stay with me, reminding me that because of them, I became the person I am today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their lessons, jokes, advice, and even their personalities left a mark on me that I will carry into every chapter of my life. These memories will always be warm, clear, and unforgettable\u2014because they taught me lessons far beyond the textbook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
